1993 Hindi Samaaj Founded
1994 Literary and cultural program organised to promote local talent in Australia including Hindi poetry, plays and children’s folk dances.
1995 Flute recital by world-famous Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia in Sydney.
1996 Children’s Hindi classes
1997 An evening with Indian film actress Shabana Azmi to promote poetry and collect funds for improvement of Bombay slums
1998 TV presentation on Indian TV about life and times of migrants of Indian origin to Australia and their use and promotion of Hindi
An evening of Comic and Satirical poetry in Hindi on 19th September 1998 with famous exponents of the art, namely, Prof. Ashok Chakradhar, Mrs. Chakradhar, and Mr.Sushil Kumar Chadda Alias Hullad Moradabadi
1999 Yearly magazine CHETNA in Hindi
2000 An evening with Neeraj, famous Hindi Poet from India
2001 Baal Diwas (Children’s Day) promoting children to present cultural items and celebrate the day to coincide with similar celebrations in India in November of each year
2001 An evening of classical music in Sydney combining both North and South Indian styles with famous artists Dr. Rajam, Ustad Zakir Hussain and others
2002 Comedy plays in Hindi on stage and community radio in Sydney
2003 Participation in CARNIVALE of Sydney, especially in literary programmes such as the gathering of Poets where Samaaj is represented by English and Hindi poets
2003 Started Library of books in Hindi
2004 Liaison with Dept. of Asian Studies at the University of Sydney for the promotion of Hindi & Urdu in graduate courses
