President's Report AGM 2005 - Dr. Lal presented the president's report and gave a brief background of the current status. There has been very little movement of activities in the past 18 months due to lack of membership, funds and documentation of the constitutional and legal processes. Despite a mail out to 110 HS supporters for the AGM there has been no response in terms of nominations or membership.
He suggested that we need to move forward despite these setbacks and form a fresh executive committee with new initiatives to rejuvenate Hindi Sammaj.
Objections raised by Dr. Sinha and Mr. Alvi on the lack of documents and procedures and the validity of the AGM. Lack of nominations also is a cause of concern as raised by Dr. Sinha.
Mr. Alvi Suggested forming an adhoc committee in the interim while the paper work is being sorted for legal and constitutional obligations to be met.
Dr. Lal suggested forming a provisional committee for the sake of continuity. All committee members agreed to this suggestion.
